Oct 18, 2022This is 1 cliche upon another cliche. Also, it has (more than typical) gratuitous lowbrow sexual innuendo. Last but not least, 90% of the crew is ridiculously good looking and/or sexy; not your typical crew hete. Worst of all, not a single credit given to the crew of the original "Essex", a whaleship of the 18th Century. It was sunk in 1820 by an enormous sperm whale, which inspired Herman Melville to write "Moby Dick". All producers and distributors should be sued by the publisher of this great novel. The sinking of the Essex was the 19th Century equivalent to the 20th Century sinking of the Titanic. Although the number of people who died is vastly different, the stories carried near equal weight for their (respective) day. Please skip this garbage.

Oct 18, 2022It is indeed Moby dick meets pacific rim critters that read about knights of Sidonia. Nevertheless I really enjoyed most of it. GFX are way up there, acting is good, story is good enough, fails on the execution at 3/4 but picks up at the very end. I think they had too many idea's and all had to be edited into the last 3/4 before the climax. If you are on weed you might not even notice =) Enjoyed it but also, next time, polish it up more and get a 10. <B
