Nov 19, 2023Ghoomer is well written, well directed, well edited, and well cinematographed movie. And each piece of craft emote something in audience. It's emotionally intense at times, hearworming at others, and funny not because of some throwaway jokes, but because of characters styling and dialogues. Nothing in the movie is frivolous, not a shot is wasted to please certain "kind" of audience. By throwing in romance or songs or adding an extra comedian actor to carry it over their shoulders. It's an R Balki movie, so it was certain that whatever the script might be, direction would be near flawless, and that's absolutely true of the case as well. R. Balki ensures that the story invigorate right emotions in audiences even through a fictional cricket match scene which ran through its course as if it was a historical match in reality ( take any 83 movie refence of a match). Being an R. Balki movie, you can always expect a flashback that would shake you ( even if little, based on how ahead you are in the guessing game). Writer must have known that a story this bold, not only needs to be beautiful and emotionally intense, but shall also serve as a sense of motivation within the realm of reasonable. The Story follows a very taught narration of the main Protagonist ( ANINA) with every side character chipping in to contribute in a effective manner. As the story moves through the family members, not one dialogues, or scenes look either forced or out of place. Entries of new characters in the movies are done so well, that the flow of the entire movie can never be questioned ( unless you really want to nitpick). The actors have done so well in their limited roles. But one man deserves most of the praise, AB Jr. There would be people comparing him to the role of Kabir from Chal De and rightly so, it does give a feel of such kind. But it's much more personal, not just on the Kabir's level but also on the player's level. He don't have to prove anything. And whatever stakes are there in the movie are purely personal. Which for some would be a much better emoter than a patriotic theme of Chak De. A movie done this well, deserves all our love and praise. And you should give it by watching it in your nearest theatre with your friends and family. Buried between the Bollywood crapload, this movie has everything - Good writing, good direction, good acting and good cinematography. It's a wholesome package which don't need the defence in any dept, but just praise.

Nov 19, 2023Ghoomer, a compelling sports drama, truly shows the spirit and the power of determination. Directed by R Balki, the film takes us on an emotional journey into the life of an athlete who defies all odds to achieve greatness in the world of cricket. The film excels in its portrayal of the emotional rollercoaster that Saiyami experiences. The script sensitively highlights the frustrations and determination that shows her true commitment to return her favourite sport, Cricket. Ghoomer is not just a sports drama, it's a tribute to human resilience, the importance of self-belief, and the unconditional support of family and friends. It reminds us that limitations can be overcome with sheer belief, hard work, determination and team work! Just a beautiful story.. Absolute Must Watch!!
