May 19, 2024Historic Savannah GA is a fantabulous backdrop for this cute movie. Founded in 1733, it holds a lot of Southern charm, and the acting "ain't bad either."

May 19, 2024MissM19 says it all!! I couldn't agree more. I kept putting off watching this one as I feared it would be very cliched but how wrong could I have been. It was one of the better Hallmark movies without any of the cliches!! Michael Rady is such a good actor it's always a delight to watch the films he's in but this one bounced along believably with great acting from everyone. The children seemed genuinely friends and the positive energy surrounding everyone was refreshing. It was also enjoyable to see the ex-husband so comfortable with the relationship and Rady's girlfriend was a happy, well-rounded character too. The premise of sharing the fostering of the dog seemed a little ridiculous and an obvious ploy to bring them together but the way it unfolded made the movie really enjoyable to watch.

May 18, 2024Fun acting, but there's nothing special about this HM movie. As is often the case, the writers underuse the dog, pretty much relegating him as a plot. They need to add personality to animals more and make them characters rather than props, otherwise it's nothing like having a canine companion in real life. This movie is really more about school and work, so they should have focused on those, rather than cramming the dog in too and not really exploring anything properly.
