Dec 12, 2024Maybe that's why I enjoyed this as much as I did, because as a stand-alone movie, this was a great watch. Even at its 129 min runtime and fast pacing, I still wanted more. The time flew by, but I would've liked more character development for most of the leads, instead of just being thrown into action. I'm not complaining about the constant suspense and thrills, but another 15-20 mins added would've done this film justice, and that's coming from someone who gets impatient for anything longer than a 90 min runtime. Aside from some plot and technical issues, and having to overlook some ridiculousness of overly ambitious and unrealistic scenes, the story flowed really well, and was constant edge of your seat entertainment. Not sure why all the bad comments, maybe everyone was comparing it to the series. Nevertheless, all around great performances, cinematography, score and soundtrack. I liked this so much, I may binge the series.
