Jun 15, 2025This is a must-watch gem, where the director Prasanna Vithanage refrains from spoon-feeding the audience. Each scene communicates much more than the dialogues between the characters. The director uses his artistic liberties to tell a story that can be interpreted in various ways, much like the references to Ramayana and its different versions. Each character is built up very well, and shows both positive and negative shades, while dealing with the situation at hand. The climax is one of the finest I have experienced in recent times. The casting is top-notch. Roshan Andrews, Shyam Fernando, Mahendra Perera and a couple of SriLankan actors play their part to perfection. Darshana Rajendran takes up a tough role and nails it! She uses her expressive eyes to speak volumes! It feels great to experience such an excellent collaboration between India and Sri Lanka to present a Ramayana of our era!

Aug 6, 2024Everything went well but the climax is meh! Ok your husband is the modern day raavan lite. But it is still not conveyed what he did to deserve to get a bullet in his head. Why you shoot the saviour, I mean at that that moment he is trying to protect you & himself from rioters. The director didn't show he killed anyone by firing. Ok atleast you could have shot him at the leg/hand, smash him with the butt of the rifle or the director trying to say her husbands character caught to her. Don't think so. A character who just feel for the death of a deer minutes back shot dead her husband. Ok if someone say human mind is complex. Then, She just took revenge of that poor tamil guy's death? But its the policeman who is the real culprit or is it oh deer?
