Sep 12, 2022Reading the title and the main story, I was thinking, that Trust means in this case between the targeted teenager and the online predator, but it is even more. Trust means in this movie the belief in the family for each other, which is a certain point of time absolutely missing between the main characters, and the film is showing the way how they are able (or not able) to get it back. After the first half an hour it is visible, that the main character in the movie is not the daughter, but the father, since he is the one, who generates most of the feelings around him, and he needs to fix everything. So one of the main objective of the film, is to show, how difficult being a father in the 21. century, with all the potential dangers around the family, knowing, how big physical and spiritual support need to be maintained. Big respect for David Schwimmer and Clive Owen!
