Apr 28, 2023I must say ,it is not the best movie but a entertaining one!! I would not name it a family movie,I see older kids and young teens(around 10-14 years old) as audience, but not so much older viewers! I guess that the bad ratings are coming from older viewers. The dancing scenes are well executed and the music good! The plot, "nice, shy and friendly school kid bullied by evil fellow student" has been done many times now and was "okay'ish" executed and more on a comedy level! The acting from the kids was good from my point of view. I really saw much worse made kids/family movies than this one and thats the reason I gave a 5 star rating!

Nov 22, 2022This film tells the story of an aspiring dancer from a dancing family, who moves to a new town to live with her uncle. Not only does she have to adjust to the new environment, but she also attracts the jealousy of Miss Popular in the high school. "Breaking Legs" wants to be "Mean Girls", but unfortunately it is nowhere close in terms of meanness and in entertainment factor. It is more about the rather uneventful rivalry between two girls. Fortunately, the music in the film is uplifting and makes people want to dance. I am not exactly the target audience of the film, so I cannot say I thoroughly enjoyed it.
