Mar 29, 2023Such a happy, fun-loving flick Maska, totally worth a Sunday afternoon. Or actually any afternoon, during these quarantine days. The story is set in South Mumbai, about a Parsi family running a generation old Irani cafe in Colaba. Manisha Koirala excels at the part of Diana the old Parsi lady, whose 21 year old son Rustom would rather sell his family's cafe to become an Actor, than continue his family's legacy and run the cafe. The film is quirky, coming of age and is able to toy with the audience emotions in a rather playful way. Shirley Setia (who is clearly more than just Rustom's love interest ) is a bundle of cuteness and excels in the role of Persis Mistry. Beautifully shot, acted, directed - the team of Maska deserves to take a bow.
