Oct 4, 2025WOW!!! This is the kind of movies I love. It stired up my faith just like "the forge". It is amazing what we can accomplish, if we let God be in charge. And, how he can turn everything around for the good of His own. God is able to deal with any obstacle of a man or whatever, and accomplish his purpose in our lives, if we let him.

May 23, 2023I went into this movie with 0 expectations, it was at the movie theatre, so I went. This movie makes most hallmark movies look like the Shawshank redemption. The good: it will make you laugh, even if it is laughing at it for the most part. Oh also the part where they send the protagonist to jail. The bad: the acting at points is so cheesy and corny that it is at times very hard to watch. Of course the antagonist of the movie is someone who is anti-Bible. This movie is going to most likely cringe anyone out who is under 50 and even most Christian's will find this unwatchable. The ugly: I don't know why it seems like every single one of these movies has to end it by everyone cheering and clapping in a position that makes 0 sense. Also the baseball that is played looks horrible, they couldn't even get some real talent or special effects apparently.

May 23, 2023This is one of the small percentage of films that passes muster in 2022. It has been rather depressing to pan so many films (over 85%) released during this year. Fortunately, this film is not one of those. First of all, I must admit I am a sucker for baseball movies, but not all of them. The dreadful "Babe Ruth Story" starring William Bendix was a prime example of an extremely corny film. Field of Dreams=good corny, The Babe Ruth Story=bad corny. This film, despite its religious content, succeeds in capturing the audience. The plot is interesting and has real-life implications. It is not easy to make a living in baseball if you are not a talented player in the major leagues. But some can succeed in being happy in life and having a nice career in it as well. Good viewing.
