Nov 22, 2022I loved Aly and Aj since I was young so that's why I watched this movie. I think it's a nice little indie movie to watch on a lazy rainy day. It's a calming movie. The first time I watched it I didn't care too much for it but I watched it again and it grew on me a bit. I admire their honesty and sexual maturity from what we are used to seeing from them so if that means swearing and sexual scenes it works. It was a very vulnerable semi autobiographical movie they did that touched on family, friendships and relationships. I had a bit trouble understanding what they were saying in some scenes because it was hard to hear. I loved the song "Boy" that they played in the movie they are actually real musicians. The crying at the ending was so real and really hit me and never fails to show me how talented they are.

Nov 22, 2022Having a sister, these scenes are so spot on. It's the way most sisters who are close in age talk and joke with each other, so the movie and the characters felt very real. I wasn't sure what to expect but this movie exceeded my expectations. There is no complicated story line, it's quite simple, and often times those are the best ones because it allows you to think and find out how you can relate to it. Lots of f-bombs and profanity but i like that, because it's *real* and how sisters/friends talk. Watching a movie about 20 something year olds and there is no curse words is just weird and unrealistic. Aly and AJ are so charming to watch and their chemistry is obviously incredible.

Nov 22, 2022I came upon this movie on the internet while I was searching for my old neighborhood; I was intrigued by the title (street in Laurel Canyon) so I thought I'd give it a try. It was sweet and sad, real and very well written and acted. If you're looking for a great indie film, something different and/or if you've lived in L.A. during your formative years, I hope you'll watch this film and enjoy it as much as I did! Wow- 12 stars!
